“What would you do if you won Lotto?”

This was the question Zac posed to the clients during the initial discovery meeting.

They had been referred by a friend who knew Zac’s attention to detail and creative problem-solving would be the right fit. They were considering four options: fix the maintenance issues and put up with a home that didn’t quite suit anymore; sell up and buy somewhere else; knock it down and start again; or renovate and extend what they had.

As always, Zac started with the budget & finance options. Together they worked through the possibilities, pros and cons of each. The Lotto question wasn’t a throwaway line — it was a way of ensuring that they went into the project with eyes wide open, and confident they had made the right decision for their family, even if it didn’t look like the most valuable option on paper. The answer pointed clearly toward staying. They loved where they lived and didn’t want to move.

A single storey extension was the result. A Master Suite with Walk-In Robe and Ensuite, a brand new Kitchen, an extra living area connected to a new, more inspiring outdoor area, complete with a pool.
