We started our building journey with the idea of a single-storey home, but quickly realised there were significant challenges with the design due to the block’s length and slope. What made the biggest difference was the change in strategy early on – moving to a double-storey at the front. This not only solved the footprint issues but also created the opportunity for a sizeable granny flat at the rear, and left us with flexibility for future subdivision potential if the zoning changes. That foresight added a huge amount of long-term value to the project.
What impressed us most was the enthusiasm and genuine passion for our home right from the start. It never felt like just another project – there was a personal investment in getting the best outcome for us. We really valued how you always tried to look at things from our perspective, and gave advice as if you were in our shoes. That level of honesty and experience made decision-making so much easier.
