What we cover.
We work in-house on new homes, demo and rebuild, substantial renovations and developments. The brief comes from you. Keeping the design, the budget and the end result aligned throughout the process is our responsibility.
On a typical project, that includes a comprehensive design brief, concept design, planning drawings and the full documentation set required for builder selection. We also have a network of engineers, energy efficiency assessors, town planners and building surveyors, and we manage that process from start to finish to save you time and money.
We sketch, we cost, we test, we adjust and we keep doing that until you are completely happy with the design, specification and selections.
What sits inside a good brief.
Are you spending the money in the rooms that matter, or the rooms that look good in a render but rarely get used?
A comprehensive design brief, where we listen to you, covers more than just your wish list. We spend time considering how your household actually lives: which rooms get used, where the money should go, what flexibility looks like in five or ten years and what the land itself makes possible or difficult.
The brief is where the most value is created and the most money is saved. We treat it accordingly. For first-time custom home clients, this stage alone is worth the conversation.

If the project moves into builder selection, the drawings and decisions carry straight through, so that conversation starts on solid ground rather than from scratch.
How design fits with the rest of the work.
Most clients engage Build Insight WA across the full project, from concept through to construction completion. Design is one stage inside that engagement. If you need design only, we can scope it as a standalone piece.
